Has been formulated to control a diverse range of micro-organisms including: Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptoccus viridans, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans and Pseudamonas aeruginasa.

Active ingredient is the proven and trusted Chlorhexidine Gluconate 4% which is a membrane active agent whose major antibacterial action is through the interference with cell membrane biochemistry.

Hand disinfection using a "Pre Surgical Scrub" is routinely practiced to reduce the range of micro-organisms and subsequent cross contamination and is considered "safe practice".

Additionally the care taken to dry hands after washing is highly relevant to controlling the level of bacteria contamination.
