My barrel racing results in total since 2020 season includes:

  • Six 4th placings
  • Three 3rd placings
  • Three 2nd placings
  • Two 1st places.

We lost one season due to covid, and our 2023 season was cut short due to cyclone Gabriel.

My current horse, I barrel race, I’ve trained myself we’ve done 5 seasons together now, picking up more placings as we improved in our training. I have 3 more young ones coming up within the next few years that I will start competing off also.

Felicity Charman

Felicity photo on horse

My name is Felicity Charman and I am a 17yo student currently studying Business locally at EIT, but in my spare time, I enjoy show jumping. I currently have one mare called Katie, she was bred by Fuego Lodge whom I previously rode for, with them I competed up to 1.15. Now Katie and I are venturing out by ourselves and are aiming for Junior Rider this season, but we are ultimately hoping to do Young Rider eventually.

Riding has always been a huge part of my life, nourished by my parents who bought me my first horse when I was 3. And for the last 14 years, I have had my fair share of ups and downs, but I am eternally grateful to my parents, Richard and Samantha for their
continued support.

This sponsorship is important to me because Animal Health Direct has always been a
dictating brand in my grooming and feed routines, so being a part of the team for the
upcoming season is a privilege. I feel honoured to have been chosen to represent them
throughout the show season, the team at Animal Health Direct is a friendly bunch and it feels good to have their support to help me achieve my goals.

Birchleigh Polo Club

AHD Ltd are very proud to sponsor Birchleigh Polo Club in Hawke’s Bay supporting the local community with opportunities that are usually out of reach for some.  With support from Sport Hawke’s Bay, Birchleigh Polo can offer young people the chance to build their equine skills, build their confidence, and maybe even pursue the sport of polo.
