Description
Paralock Abamectin Pour-on for Cattle, when used at the recommended dose level of 500 micrograms abamectin per kg live weight, effectively controls the following parasites of cattle:
- Gastrointestinal roundworms: adult and immature Ostertagia spp (including inhibited immatures), Haemonchus spp, Trichostrongylus spp, Cooperia spp, Bunostomum spp, Oesophagostomum spp, and adults of Chabertia spp, Nematodirus spp, Trichuris spp, and Strongyloides spp.
- Lungworms: adult and immature Dictyocaulus viviparous.
- Biting and Sucking Lice: Bovicola bovis, Linognathus vituli.
Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. Check the effectiveness of anthelmintics at least annually. Follow recommended parasite management practices to reduce the potential for resistance to develop. Check accuracy of pour-on applicator regularly. A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment. Dose rate to be based on heaviest cattle in each group (bulls, cows, steers, calves etc.). Do not under-dose. Where there is a large variation in size within the group, draft into two or more lines based on bodyweight, to avoid excessive overdosing.
Paralock Abamectin Pour-On is rainfast, even if rain falls 2 hours or more after treatment.and well-ventilated area, away from foodstuffs. Do not freeze.

The dose rate for cattle is 500 μg abamectin per kg bodyweight, which is provided by 1 mL Paralock Abamectin Pour-On per 20 kg bodyweight, or according to the table on the lablel.
